Kate Michael is President of K Street Kate, an online lifestyle magazine and talk show (The District Dish) that promote life, work and play in the District of Columbia. 

In 2003, she earned her B.B.A. International Business (Economics) Magna cum Laude from the University of Georgia, and in 2008 she completed her dual MA in Government/MBA from the Johns Hopkins University. 

Kate's early years in Washington were spent working in various capacities for the Federal and District Governments, including years as a staffer on the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee and as Program Analyst for Green Collar Jobs at the D.C. Department of Employment Services.

Kate is actively
involved in many local
philanthropic
organizations, including
Susan G. Komen,
FirstBook and the
Junior League of
Washington.

Kate is amember of such nationally recognized organizations as The National Press Club, Phi Kappa Phi, Beta Gamma Sigma, and the Sigma Kappa Sorority among many others.  At one time a professional dancer at Disney World and off-Broadway, Kate is a proud member of Actor's Equity.  Although no longer her professional career, dancing and entertainment continue to be her passion.


Kate was crowned Miss District of Columbia on July 1, 2006 and competed in Miss America in January 2007.
